Primary Duties:
– Teaching 7th-12th grade students at least 20 hours a week. Classroom size:  Approx. 40-50 students
– Working alongside current Ecuadorian educators to enhance their English teaching skills
– Introduce modern language teaching methodologies, design and conduct communicative activities, enhance conversational skills of Ecuadorian English teachers.

Goals:
1. Capacity Building of public high school English teachers:
– Co-plan and co-teach to improve linguistic and methodological capacities to implement participatory activities that promote authentic communication and critical thinking.

2. Develop English Materials
– Work with local teachers to design English teaching materials that are relevant to students’s lives
– Create opportunities for professional development workshops promoting communicative language

3. Community Outreach
-Offer English classes to community members
– Develop life skills classes or clubs for local youth
– Organize and work with community groups to implement needs-based development projects
