October 2011- Submitted my online application and  health review

November 2011- Submitted 3-5 recommendations

December 2011- Interview at MSU satellite office

February 22, 2012- Request from recruiter for an updated skills addendum, my earliest available date of departure, and information about my interest in continuing with the application process

March 20, 2012- Completion of the minimum required 30 hours of ESL teaching experience.

March 22, 2012- Nomination via email from my recruiter! Central/South America or Caribbean, English Teaching Program, January/February 2013 Departure (nomination contingent upon obtaining more experience)

Early April 2012- Early June 2012- Medical appointments

June 7, 2012- Submitted Medical and Dental exams to Peace Corps by mail

July 13, 2012- House broken into, computer stolen, lost all files relevant to my PC application, including my candidate reference number necessary to access my personalized online information.

July 30, 2012- Peace Corps announces that they are overhauling the whole application process. They are working to make the transition as smooth as possible. However, no one knows what will happen to applicants who have submitted medical reviews but have yet to receive medical and dental clearance.

August 17, 2012– Submitted updated skills addendum (recording 80 hours of English Teaching experience, including time spent teaching my own class)

September 5, 2012- Email from the placement office asking for an updated resume, a completed education questionnaire, an updated availability date,  final transcripts from my university.

September 7, 2012– Submitted requested information

September 12, 2012– Harvest of Justice Fundraiser is a huge success! AND Final Interview via phone.

September 18, 2012- INVITATION RECEIVED VIA EMAIL!! ECUADOR, TEFL, JANUARY 15, 2013- APRIL 3, 2015

September 25, 2012- Blue packet arrived in the mail, and let the paperwork commence.
